MAF experience anyone?

Post by CassRacing » Mon Dec 12, 2016 10:03 pm

So the Disco 2 has a new engine block! She no longer overheats and goes thermonuclear, but.....

The engine is running too rich (bank 1). I had a mechanic do a vacuum test and there are no leaks. So far there hasn't been any misfires.

The girl idles ROUGH, however, when you come off idle my mechanic says its fine.

I am thinking a faulty MAF sensor, what do you all think?

Thanks in advance!

No codes at all? I'd try driving it around a bit and see if the old MAF data just needs overwritten in the ECU...

The MAF in the 4.6l is different from that in the 4.0l so I dont have one. Maybe Mark Garcia could borrow one from his friend Allie?

No misfire codes. The only codes are that it is running rich.

Typically, a MAF sensor problem will affect both banks, not just one.
