Thread icons - meaning what?

Post by niqdanger » Tue Aug 21, 2007 9:20 am

Ok, I understand the red ones mean new stuff. BUT;

What does the ones that are scrolling mean?

And what do the ones with the red star mean?

*scratching head*

Hardly critical info in my life, in fact today was the first time I noticed :-)

I have been trying to figure this out myself. This "improved" board does not seem to have a key like the old one had.

From what I can tell, the ones with the star are threads that I have contributed to at some point, and the scrolling indicates a "hot topic" that has had a lot of recent activity.

Anyone else know more about this?

I believe you are correct about the icons meaning good sir Knight. Alas, the board administrator is MIA. Like Carhenge (Stongehenge only with Cadillacs. I've been there and now you have), we may never know the true meaning.

My guess would be someone with two much time and too many Cadillacs. As for the other shit board specific stuffs that is. I need to see what my options are now. This is still a beta release version and as yet unsupported. However the bonus is we have yet to have a spammer join. I mentioned once or twice to John what a pain in the ass it was dealing with 10 to 20 spammers joining a day. It should all come out in the wash. We will have to wait and see.

Carhenge is actually only about 20% Cadillac. The creator used a nice mix of the good, bad, and ugly of automotive Americana to build this. I believe even the Prime Minister's AMC Pacer is represented...
